First post of misfortune

Yesterday (June 18th 2009) was the first day of the summer semester in my school, Diablo Valley College. It was just an orientation day for this Math 195 class, only one hour long, so I figured I'd ride my motorcycle to school. So I got my bike ready, wore my helmet, rode the bike and got to school well within 20 minutes! I arrived at DVC and parked my bike at the bike designated parking space.

After the class, I went back to my bike and saw this NEON green envelope attached to it. I opened it up quickly, thinking it was just one of those advertisements, but to my surprise, it was a freakin PARKING TICKET! What a nice way to start a semester!

I opened it up slowly like it was some kind of a punishment for something I never thought I did. Right when I read $35, I was like WOW, I'm so LUCKY, right?

THe question here is, how could they issue a parking ticket on the first day of semester! My class was on a THURSDAY, started at 7:30 PM. The place where I can purchase the parking permit was NOT EVEN OPEN! This is unfair.. unreasonable, and just plainly stupid! How am I suppose to get a permit when the store was closed!

HEre are some links about the DVC parking policy.. sucks! They should let and give students some allowance in time for them to purchase the permit.. What if the students suddenly had to drop the classes, or just looking around to add some classes? This is unfair, unreasonabl, and just plainly stupid!
